Also......it there a family tree published somewhere? If so, is it possible to have it sent electronically to all of us. I would love to be able to see it before we all get together.
Thank you, Suzanne, for all of your hard work. I think the Sunday brunch is going to be a great idea. We are looking forward to it.

Hello Cousins!

I have almost 70 email addresses gathered so far and each of you should have received an invitation to add to the blog. last weekend I was in Longport with Johnny & Patty Murphy and Suzanne & Bob Sule. I also got to see Ed Tarsa, Beth Ray and Great Uncle Bill Ray. Uncle Ed looks pretty good after his heart attack a few weeks ago, and Great-Uncle Bill is still hanging in there at 93. He offered his expertise in the food and beverage industry to help me put things together so I wouldn't get cheated!

Patty and Suzanne went around with me to look at different venues for our get together. After talking with all the places and finding availability, we will be having a brunch on Sunday, August 2nd at the Greate Bay Country Club in Somers Point. We had wanted to get something on the bay, but they were either booked or too pricey. I'll be sending an email to everyone about costs and such soon.

Love to all,

Suzanne

Hey Cousins!

Thought I'd try my hand at blogging, and hoped you join in as a way of keeping us connected into the future. I'll be heading down to the shore later this week to firm plans for our weekend. Only a few of you have offered your preference for that time, but I'm definitely leaning toward a Sunday brunch for everyone with a get together at our place on Friday or Saturday night for whoever is in the area.

I've heard about almost 100 of you since I sent out the first letter about a year ago. From Uncle Bill Ray (93 yrs old) to Rhys McFadden (1 yr-old and Louis & Michelle's newest edition to the family), our numbers span nine decades! We can expect someone from every decade to be in attendance.

The former teacher in me wants to plan mini-activities while on the beach for the younger set, and maybe we can tie them into what Ocean City already has planned. If things are less congested over in Longport - and many of you are there - we could always come to you since we'll be down there for more than a week.

In addition to posting the plans here, I'll also send out an email to those who have responded electronically and snail mail to the letter-writing family members.
